VISION Rochester Christian School offers a Christ-centered education which is of unsurpassed quality in the Rochester area and which brings glory to God through the development of responsible and responsive Christians. MISSION Rochester Christian School helps prepare students from Christian families to live fully for God in a rapidly- changing world, with the ability to understand, evaluate, and transform the world from the foundation of God’s unchanging values. We endeavor to educate children for lives of obedience to their calling in the world as image-bearers of God. This calling includes knowing God’s Word and His creation, consecrating the whole of human life to God, loving their fellow man, being stewards of God’s creation, and faithfully carrying out their God-given tasks. By God’s grace, we will accomplish this goal by providing a high quality elementary and middle school education that effectively integrates Biblical truths in all areas of life. ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE Rochester Christian School stands out with its rigorous curriculum and standards of excellence. Our broad range of courses, progressing in depth from preschool to eighth grade, includes instruction in: Art, Computer Technology, English Composition, Foreign Language, Health Science, Language Arts, Mathematics (including Algebra), Music, Reading, Science, and Social Studies. This curriculum prepares students for their continuing academic studies. Students in recent classes have continued their studies at faith based schools such as Aquinas Institute, Bishop Kearney, Charles Finney, McQuaid Jesuit, Nazareth Academy, Our Lady of Mercy, and Webster Christian as well as various public schools. Guidance counselors from these schools indicate that RCS students are well prepared to handle the academic rigors of their high school curriculums. |
