ABOUT US Since 1917, Rochester Christian School (RCS) has served parents and children in the Rochester community by providing a quality, Christ-centered education. With over 170 students currently enrolled in school and over 90 years of graduates, RCS has and continues to equip young people to assume leadership in their communities, churches, and homes. In 1994, the Directors of RCS identified a need to establish an endowment fund to support the schools business plan. As a result, the Rochester Christian School Foundation was established as a separate not-for-profit corporation. The Foundation was formed to provide stability for students in future generations. MISSION The Mission of the Foundation is to ensure the future of Christian education at Rochester Christian School through the creation of an Endowment Fund. The Foundation accomplishes this mission by offering donors an opportunity to make an endowed contribution to the school in an area of interest. PURPOSE The purpose of the Foundation is to ensure the success of Rochester Christian School by providing financial support. The Foundation supports and underwrites Christ-centered education at Rochester Christian School by reducing the cost of tuition, providing scholarships to families in need, supporting teachers professional development, providing capital improvement support, and targeting financial resources where they are needed most. The Foundation’s endowment accepts and manages tax-deductible gifts of property, securities, life insurance, bequests, memorials, cash and other forms of contributions for the benefit of Rochester Christian School. Gifts to the Endowment Fund are held in trust in separate accounts with only a portion of the earned income from the principal investment used to aid the school. Undistributed earnings are reinvested into the fund, allowing for continuing growth. In other words, it’s a gift that keeps on giving every year by using the approach of long term planning for the financial needs and security of the school. |
