Excited, energetic, enthusiastic! These are some of the characteristics of the middle school student. Capitalizing on these traits, the dedicated, highly-qualified teaching staff of RCS's Middle School appropriately challenges and encourages each student to discover the gifts God has given each one to use for His glory Our Christ-centered academic program has been shaped to meet the spiritual and developmental needs of our students. The strong educational program of the middle school includes core classes in English, social studies, science, and mathematics as well as a foreign language. Bible is taught three days a week and chapel is held for the entire middle school on Wednesdays. In addition students have classes in health, music, art, physical education, and computer application. At each of the three grade levels the school offers choir and band. Extra-curricular activities include Drama, the middle school play and the yearbook. In addition there is a program of the following sports: soccer, basketball, volleyball, and track and field. Field trips during the course of the middle school experience supplement classroom learning. The eighth grade also concludes the school year with an educational trip just before graduation. |
