Homecoming Food Truck Rodeo

Despite the drizzly cool September weather, there was a warmth in the smiles and conversation that many enjoyed as we kicked off the start of our Fourth Friday Celebration Events at Rochester Christian School! On September 23rd, the Homecoming Food Truck Rodeo began with our RCS student soccer team facing Cornerstone Christian School. The rain didn’t let up, and neither did our students as they fought to stay ahead with a 4-2 win. Even our youngest fans enjoyed some hula-hooping, beanbag games and faceprinting, with some school spirit inspired de- signs! As the evening continued the parking lot became scattered with groups of families and friends re- connecting and enjoying some dinner from our food truck vendors. The wood fired pizzas were as delicious as the aroma that filled the air, and the hot cocoa and fruit smoothies were a hit, too! With a little coaxing and organiz- ing by Ken Offering,our alumni and a few students took the field and faced off for a friendly match of soccer. It was a great evening, and we are looking forward to the continued succession of 4th Friday events that will be tak- ing place throughout the year... the next of which is a Harvest Party on Oct-28th!
