Worship Team

The Music Department is excited to announce the formation of a newly restructured Worship Team for the 2016-2017 school year. Mrs. Hamway and Mrs. Jamison co-teach this elective, audition-only class for first through fifth graders. The purpose of this class is to glorify God and help students connect with Him by facilitating musical worship experi- ences. We aim to develop vocal technique, singing skills, and choreography, learn about the fundamentals, purpose, and joy of worship music, and promote team work whilst worshipping Christ through music.

Students auditioned on September 19th in order to be con- sidered for the group. We were thrilled to see so many stu- dents with a desire to worship the Lord! Auditions were also very eye opening as we realized we have many, many tal- ented musicians here at RCS!

At this time, there will be 15 students on the Worship Team, with further review to take place throughout the year. Students on the Worship Team exhibit qualities inherent in a worship leader or worship team member, express maturity in interview answers, have a desire to glorify the Lord with music, and have a high level of musician- ship, vocal skill, and sense of tonality.

Mrs. Jamison and I are thrilled to be working together and with your children to further glorify God’s kingdom. We look forward to showing you what we’ve been working on at school Reflections and upcoming concerts!
