Middle School Math & Science, Full-Time
Rochester Christian School is seeking a full-time middle school teacher to teach Math and Science. The Teacher is responsible for working with our principal and teacher colleagues to assist in establishing and maintaining an effective learning climate for middle school students, where students are challenged academically, encouraged to grow in their faith, and cared for as individuals. The teacher will play an important role in creating a classroom environment that reflects the mission and vision of Rochester Christian School and helps students develop their head, heart, and hands for Jesus Christ.
We are looking for a teacher who is passionate about both their subject areas and the students they teach—someone who brings energy, thoughtfulness, and intentionality to the classroom. The ideal candidate will value strong relationships with students, collaborate well with colleagues, and seek meaningful opportunities to connect learning with a biblical worldview.
The middle school years are an important season of growth and development, and we value teachers who are eager to come alongside students during this stage, encouraging curiosity, responsibility, confidence, and a growing understanding of their faith.

Substitute Teacher
Rochester Christian School is seeking substitute teachers who are committed to providing meaningful continuity of learning and care for our students when regular teachers are absent. Substitute teachers serve as an important extension of our teaching team, partnering with our principal and faculty colleagues to maintain a purposeful, well-managed learning environment and uphold the expectations of the classroom and school.
Substitute teachers are expected to embrace and actively support the mission and vision of Rochester Christian School, demonstrating professionalism, initiative, flexibility, and a genuine investment in the students entrusted to their care. We value substitutes who are willing to go beyond simply carrying out lesson plans and instead engage students thoughtfully, support their learning, and contribute positively to the life of our school.

Rochester Christian School is seeking a full-time middle school teacher to teach Math and Science. The Teacher is responsible for working with our principal and teacher colleagues to assist in establishing and maintaining an effective learning climate for middle school students, where our mission and vision is both valued and upheld.
A cover letter and resume are required for all candidates who are interested in securing a teaching position with Rochester Christian School.
Qualifications:
Strong applicants for all teaching roles will possess the following:
• Belief in the importance of educating the whole child
• Unwavering commitment to Christian education
• Belief in and alignment with Rochester Christian School’s core beliefs and educational philosophy, and a willingness to uphold the vision and mission of Rochester Christian School
• Ability to creatively implement our curriculum and meet the State and National Standards outlined in our curricula
• Mastery of and enthusiasm for middle school Math and Science
• Ability and desire to implement feedback from school leaders and colleagues to become a more effective educator in service to our students
• Valid NYS Certification and Master’s degree are preferred
• Quality teaching experience/s at the middle school level preferred
Minimum Qualifications:
• Candidates must have received a Bachelor's degree from a college or university before employment begins
• Proficiency in Google programs and use of Smartboard technology preferred

• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively and professionally with school leaders, teachers, and staff
• Dependability, punctuality, sound judgment, and a high level of professionalism
• Willingness to receive and implement feedback from school leaders and colleagues
• Demonstrated care for students and a willingness to go the extra mile to support their learning and well-being
Minimum Qualifications:
• Candidates must have received a high school diploma or equivalent before employment begins
• Previous experience working with children or in an educational setting preferred
• Proficiency with Google programs and familiarity with Smartboard technology preferred
